FORT WORTH — A 15-year-old boy drowned at an outdoor pool at the Lockheed Martin Recreation Association in Fort Worth Friday night.
A Fort Worth Fire Department spokesperson said in a statement that fire crews found lifeguards at the pool performing CPR on the youth, who was later identified as Rick Sek of Fort Worth.
The lifeguards said he had been pulled out of the water and that an automated defibrillator had been used in an attempt to revive him.
Rick Sek was taken by ambulance to Texas Health Fort Worth Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Lockheed Martin Recreation Association, at 3400 Bryant Irvin Road, got its start in 1949 and provides services to employees of the aerospace manufacturer and its retirees and dependents, according to the LMRA website.
