TARRANT COUNTY -- The family of a mentally ill man found hanged in the Tarrant County Jail is suing the county, claiming they didn't do enough to protect him.
According to our content partners at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the family of 30-year-old Jonathan Holden filed the suit. They say officials violated Holden's civil rights by not ensuring his safety.
Holden was found dead in his cell in March 2012. A death row inmate was indicted for murder in Holden's death.
Tarrant County commissioners are scheduled to meet Tuesday, and they could reach a possible settlement.
