DALLAS – The state has added an El Paso man who molested a Fort Worth child in her bedroom in 1995 to the state’s most wanted sex offender list.

Juan Alfredo Gandarilla was paroled in 2004 while serving a 20 year sentence for molesting a nine-year-old girl as she slept in her Fort Worth home in 1995.

Gandarilla, 43, was caught in California six months after the incident and extradited to Texas. He was convicted of indecency with a child by contact and sentenced to 20 years in jail. After being paroled on Oct. 28, 2004, he fled in 2005.

On March 28 of that year, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest. On June 24, 2010, the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office added another warrant for failing to comply with sex offender registration.

Gandarilla has family both in Fort Worth, El Paso and California. He’s worked as a cook, a gardener and a horse groomer, according to DPS officials. He stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 142 pounds. He has “Maria Ramon” tattooed on his chest; “Anthony 91” on his left forearm; and thespian faces tattooed on his upper left arm.

The state will pay $3,000 to anyone with information leading to his arrest. He also has charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, assault of a public servant, burglary, vandalism and driving while intoxicated.

DPS notes that he is considered armed and dangerous. If you can help police, you’re asked to submit an anonymous tip through one of these ways:
