CARROLLTON -- Kiet Nguyen, a Carrollton Creekview football player who was found dead in his room in September, died of a heroin overdose according to a report from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
The report said Nguyen's death was caused by accidental acute heroin intoxication.
Hundreds attended a vigil held for Nguyen after his death and the Creekview Mustangs dedicated their win that week to the senior linebacker, who was also active in track at the school.
