ARLINGTON -- It’s going to be a big Saturday for Arlington.

The Texas Rangers host the Cleveland Indians with the first pitch going out at 3:05 p.m.  Then George Strait's last concert is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 4 p.m.

Here’s the problem: With the average baseball game lasting just under three hours, the Rangers game could let out at 6 p.m., just as the King of Country’s concert starts.

The Arlington Police Department is suggesting you arrive at the George Strait concert early, around 5 p.m., to avoid post-Rangers traffic.

News 8 suggests you consider showing up even earlier at 4 p.m. as the doors open.  After all, you’re among friends. Why not get the party started early?

For those of you leaving the Rangers game, pack your patience. You could face some residual traffic from those arriving late to the George Strait Concert.

One solution: Put some Strait on your iTunes and enjoy the drive.
