Deadly dog stabbings may be linked, Fort Worth police say

Man arrested in fatal stabbings of two dogs

FORT WORTH - Police are investigating a possible link after two dogs were found stabbed to death one day apart in a Fort Worth neighborhood.

Authorities said a dog owner reported the first stabbing at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of Columbia Avenue.

The next day, another dog was found stabbed after its owner came home and discovered an unknown male in a backyard on Yale Street near Columbia Avenue, said Officer Tracy Carter, a spokesperson with Fort Worth police. The suspect fled and the dog died at the scene.

Harrison Hilliard was taken into custody by officers about 1 p.m. Friday, according to a video tweeted by police.

In the second stabbing, at a home on Yale Street, the dog's owner came home to find an unknown man in the backyard, Carter said. The suspect fled the scene.
