Arlington ISD teacher arrested for public intoxication

An Arlington ISD teacher didn't make it to the first day of school. Officers arrested Megan Updegraff on campus Friday for public intoxication.

Updegraff is listed as a first grade teacher at West Elementary School on the Arlington ISD website. Grand Prairie police made the arrest, because the school is located within its city limits.

The district said classes were not yet in session at the time of the arrest.

Updegraff is now on leave from teaching duties.
