NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS - It was a dangerous night for fast-moving water as storms rolled through North Texas.
Jaden Gomez, 16, was found clinging to a log at Fossil Creek Park Wednesday night and was rescued by crews.
The North Richland Hills Fire Department posted on Twitter that it was called to the park in the 6000 block of Onyx Drive South. Officials lowered a rescue boat into the water and brought the teen, who had been floating the creek with his friends, to safety.
Intense storms and rain kept coming down in parts of North Texas. Water crept quickly on neighborhood streets and creeks.
In Garland, four teens had to be rescued from a creek by firefighters.
