DALLAS - A busy exit ramp near downtown Dallas was closed Tuesday afternoon when an 18-wheeler caught fire following a crash.
Dallas Fire-Rescue said a car collided with the semi truck around 3:15 p.m. on the northbound I-45 ramp to Woodall Rodgers.
The driver of the semi escaped unharmed. The driver of the other car was taken to a hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries.”
The ramp was closed even after the flames were extinguished, as hazmat crews cleaned up diesel fuel that leaked from the truck.
Twitter user Josh S (@ibjshwaaa) posted video of the fire, showing smoke billowing from the semi truck.
