DALLAS - News 8 has confirmed Dallas FBI agents are looking into purchasing irregularities at the Dallas Independent School District.
Eleven days ago, WFAA first reported the findings of a DISD internal investigation into allegations purchasing laws had been violated.
Three top administrators, including the head of purchasing, were either fired or forced to resign from the district. All of it over a $5-million technology contract that was never put out for competitive bids.
Sources tell WFAA that FBI agents visited DISD headquarters last week asking questions about the investigation.
No word yet on whether the feds will open a formal inquiry.
