MCKINNEY -- A Frisco man will spend 40 years in prison for sexual assaulting a woman.
Adam Milligan, 37, was sentenced for aggravated sexual assault, according to Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis.
“What this man did was absolutely horrific. But this victim’s courage and the jury’s verdict ensure he won’t terrorize any more women” said Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis.
Frisco police were called to the victim's home after 3 a.m. on August 8, 2015.
Milligan, who knew the victim, entered her home, tied her hands and feet, and sexually assaulted her for more than an hour. According to officials, he then placed a pillow over her face in an attempt to strangle and suffocate her with his hands.
The victim told police Milligan recorded video during the assault, which was later located and preserved for trial use.
The jury heard evidence of prior incidences of attempted sexual assaults by Milligan. Two of them didn't result in convictions.
