WISE COUNTY -- The Denton County bomb squad was investigating a bomb threat made at the Devon Energy facility near Bridgeport Tuesday morning.

Wise County deputies were called at about 8:30 a.m. by the head of Devon’s security, said Lydia Moseley, a sheriff's department spokeswoman. The building was evacuated.

There is no danger to the public, Moseley said. Deputies will be reviewing security cameras at the property and the bomb squad will complete its search.

Traffic was diverted away from the plant with FM 1658 and Highway 380 shut down as well as County Road 3504 until at least 1 p.m. to insure safety, Moseley said.
