A small plane with two people aboard made an emergency landing at Denton Municipal Airport Wednesday night after reporting possible landing gear problems.

An instructor and a student pilot were aboard the single-engine Cessna 182. They told the tower that one of the retractable landing gear had failed to lock into place.

The plane landed safely after circling the airport for about an hour to burn off excess fuel. No injuries were reported.
