Shooting death
LEWISVILLE — Lewisville police said a man was found dead in the front yard of a mobile home early Sunday morning as officers investigated a report of shots being fired.
The incident happened shortly after 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Cowan Avenue at the Village North Mobile Home Park.
In a written statement, police spokesman Lt. Dan Rochelle said a family argument apparently led to the shooting death of 26-year-old Jacob Gutierrez.
Carrollton police detained 56-year-old Humberto Martinez-Benitez of Lewisville after a bulletin was issued with his description.
Martinez-Benitez was arrested on a homicide charge.
