DALLAS — Dallas police detectives say an active search is under way for an associate psychology professor at the University of Texas in Arlington.

Pablo Mora disappeared on September 30 and hasn't been seen since.

Police said a vehicle belonging to Mora was found abandoned at Ray Roberts State Park in the Denton County town of Pilot Point, but there was no sign of Mora.

Police have not said who found the vehicle or when.

According to investigators, Mora left his Oak Lawn condo in the 4100 block of Avondale Avenue on September 30 and never returned.

A missing person's report was filed October 1.

As a UTA psychology professor, Mora has been studying depression in the Latino population.

Dallas police are asking anyone with information about Mora's disappearance to call them.
