LEWISVILLE LAKE -- Search teams using sonar quickly recovered the body of a man from Lewisville Lake on Sunday afternoon, the reservior's second fatality in as many weeks.

The incident happened near the lake's "party cove" close to Westlake Park, not far from where 31-year-old Blake Long went missing in a boating accident on May 23.

Someone on a boat called 911. They were worried about their loved one, a man in his 40s.

"One of the family members said he jumped off the boat to swim or cool off, and that was the end. He never came back up," said Lewisville Fire Department Battalion Chief Jerry Wells.

Divers found that man’s body minutes after arriving. He was not wearing a life vest.

Rescue workers said it is another sad ending to a weekend in a boating season that is just undewray.

The name of the victim was not released.

WFAA reporter Marie Saavedra contributed to this story.
