DENTON COUNTY — Highway 380 was shut down 10 miles west of Denton during the Monday evening rush hour after a serious crash.
The accident, near Owens Road just north of Ponder, involved an overturned 18-wheeler and a four-door sedan.
Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Sgt. Lonny Haschel said one person was hospitalized with injuries suffered in the wreck.
He added that Highway 380 would be closed for an undetermined amount of time while gravel spilled by the truck is cleaned up.
There is ongoing construction along that stretch of the highway, which is being widened from a two-lane road.
