An Amber Alert issued in Temple, Texas for a two-year-old whose mother had been shot ended 140 miles away in Mesquite Friday afternoon.

Little Isaiah Corson had been abducted at 7:30 a.m. Friday in Temple by a man identified by the Texas Department of Public Safety as Vincent Corson Jr., 29.

"Law enforcement officials believe this child to be in grave or immediate danger," the statewide alert said.

Corson was said to be driving a 2007 Mazda 6 sedan which was spotted in North Texas and pulled over on Interstate 30 in Mesquite near the Gus Thomasson Road exit. He was taken into custody.

The child was reported to be safe.

The boy's mother was expected to survive her injuries.
