DALLAS — Paula Deen has another appearance scheduled at the Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show on Sunday.
On Saturday, the TV chef got a huge welcome from fans during this weekend's Metro Cooking Show at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
The former Food Network star has been staying out of the spotlight after a scandal that cost her endorsements and TV appearances. A firestorm erupted when she admitted in a deposition to using the "N-word."
On Saturday, Deen thanked her fans for standing by her. "You'll never know what your cards... what your letters... what your gifts... what your messages to me on Facebook it's been," she said. "It was a wonderful gift, and I thank ya'll very much."
Deen said now she's just thinking about the future.
The Metro Cooking Show continues Sunday ith another appearance by Deen and her son Bobby, as well as actress-turned-cooking show star Debi Mazar.
