DALLAS (AP) –– An exhibit featuring presidential photographs is set to open at Dallas' Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.

The exhibit opening Sunday showcases the work of photographers from The Associated Press. "The American President: Photographs from the Archives of The Associated Press" will be on display through Oct. 27 at the downtown museum that chronicles the legacy and assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The photo display is among ongoing events the museum is presenting in commemoration of the 50th anniversary this year of Kennedy's assassination in Dallas.

The exhibit, which has been touring the U.S. since early last year, features more than 70 photographs taken over a 100-year span. Included are seven images of Kennedy, from his arrival at the 1960 Democratic National Convention to his flag-draped coffin.
