DALLAS -- A ceasefire didn't stop deadly violence on the Israel-Gaza border.
A shooting killed one person early Friday morning. It's not clear why Israeli troops fired on Gazans surging toward Israel's border fence.
At Dealy Plaza in Dallas, about a hundred Palestinian-Americans with relatives in the Gaza Strip took to the streets.
The U.S. calls Israel an ally. Peaceful protesters called for a more equal approach Friday.
"We request that our government listen to our grievances, and take a more balanced approach with regard to the Palestinian-Israeli issue," said Fidae Elaydi.
"What we're calling for is our government to get more involved," Ahmad Khadra added, "To get the peace process back on the table and basically to give peace a chance. That's basically what we'd like."
