DALLAS — One person was hit and killed on Highway 175 in South Dallas early Sunday morning.

The driver of a white 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer told Dallas County Sheriff's Department investigators he was driving down the freeway around 1:45 a.m. when he was truck by a blue Chevy Tahoe.

The impact sent the Trailblazer spinning out of control. It smashed through a guardrail and ended up on the the edge of the Pine Street overpass.

The sheriff's department report was not clear about which vehicle struck the pedestrian, but said no one else was injured and that there was no indication that alcohol was a factor in the fatal accident.
