Mount Adams
A University Park man has died in a hiking accident in New Hampshire.
Richard Gabriele, 64, was climbing near Mount Adams when, investigators say, he slipped on hard-packed snow and fell more than 1,500 feet.
Officials said Gabriele was with a group of experienced climbers who were using the right equipment for the conditions.
