DALLAS — A house fire in Dallas injured one person early Saturday morning.
Firefighters found heavy fire and smoke when they arrived at the residence in the 600 block of Woodbine Avenue around 3:30 a.m.
Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said the origin of the fire was quickly determined and was extinguished in less than 30 minutes.
But as firefighters searched the residence, they found an unresponsive woman inside.
Paramedics immediately began giving her CPR, and she was taken to a hospital. Her name and condition were not available.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, although Evans said there is no evidence that it was deliberately set. He added that it appears to have started in the living room, which was being used as a bedroom.
