DART East Transfer Center
DALLAS — After being told by Dallas to hit the road, Megabus is rolling back in.
The discount bus service — famous for fares as low as $1 — will start operating out of downtown Dallas again on Monday.
In June, the company moved its local stop to Grand Prairie after it hit a roadblock with Dallas over permits.
Megabus now has the permission needed and will add a stop at the DART East Transfer Center at 330 North Olive Street, next door to the Sheraton Dallas hotel.
Megabus offers service from Dallas to Austin and San Antonio; to Norman and Oklahoma City Oklahoma; to Little Rock, Arkansas; and to Memphis, Tennessee. Its fleet of double-decker coaches offers power outlets and free Wi-Fi service to travelers.
