DALLAS -- A man was found dead in an abandoned home Thursday after a one-alarm fire in South Dallas.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a 911 call for a fire in the 2200 block of Jordan St. at about 7:20 p.m. When they arrived, they found flames coming out of the front of a boarded-up, one-story home.

Firefighters were able to locate and put out the fire within a half hour, but found the body of an adult male inside.
