DALLAS — Police said a man who was fired from his job at an Oak Cliff business returned hours later and murdered his former employer.

Alejandro Fernandez, 29, was shot at Roman's Barber Shop in the 300 block of West Jefferson Boulevard around 5 o'clock Friday afternoon. Fernandez died a short time later at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

Witnesses identified the suspect as 30-year-old Charles Dewayne Hooks, who had been terminated by Fernandez earlier on Friday.

Hooks was apprehended, arrested, and charged with murder. Bond was set at $250,000.
