DALLAS -- Lots of you, no doubt, are hoping this will finally be the year you keep your resolution to lose weight and get in shape.
Trainers at Crowbar Cardio, one of the newest fitness studios in Dallas, said the key is to keep it fun.
As News 8 saw Wednesday, they use some unique equipment, including indo-row machines (that pull a blade through a water tank) and RealRyder stationary bikes that move back and forth. They also have a ballet-inspired barre program led by professional dancer Vlada Gorbaneva.
When it comes to your workout, trainers said variety will help keep you coming back.
"Every single day you're doing something a little bit different, which helps keep it interesting, but it also helps your body to stay awake, stay alive,” said Molly Setnick, the fitness studio’s co-owner. “When we get set in these ruts is when we plateau, when we get bored, our muscles get really familiar with what’s happening. So, it’s a lot better if you can change it up as often as possible to keep the muscles really interested in what’s going on. You’ll see changes faster and you'll be interested."
