GRAND PRAIRIE — The American Red Cross is helping nearly two dozen people who lost their homes in a fire Sunday morning.
The fire broke out at apartments on in the 2800 block of Stonewall Drive in Grand Prairie about 9:30 a.m.
Flames were showing when the first firefighters arrived.
Twelve units were damaged, but no one was hurt. The affected families were offered vacant units in the same complex.
The Red Cross is helping with everything from buying groceries to new clothing and toiletries.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
