Farmers Branch is appealing to the Supreme Court a federal court ruling on its rental ban.

The town has spent more than $6 million on the court fight so far.

Three federal courts have already struck down a controversial ban on apartment renters who are not in the country legally.

But on Tuesday night, the Town Council voted to send the case back to the Supreme Court.
