Dallas police say a senior citizen who disappeared Saturday morning from her South Oak Cliff home was found safe on Sunday morning.

Aszeta Wallace, 64, went for a walk in the 7300 block of Brierfield Drive at 9 a.m.  Family members say she has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

Wallace was located Sunday by off-duty officers at The Potter's House church in Dallas, about 12 miles away. The officers said she couldn't remember where she had been and wasn't sure where she was.

Police took her to a hospital for a checkup.
