DALLAS (AP) — A Dallas man is accused of murder after police found his wife stabbed to death in their bedroom with their two young children still in their South Oak Cliff apartment.
A police affidavit says Ismael Vergara was treated at a hospital for what were determined to be self-inflicted stab wounds to his chest. The 26-year-old man is accused of fatally stabbing his 22-year-old wife, Breauna Hill.
The affidavit says police were called to the apartment in the 8600 block of Willoughby Boulevard Friday afternoon by neighbors reporting sounds of a domestic disturbance. They arrived to find a flood-stained Vergara with his and Hill's two toddlers. Vergara directed the officers to a back bedroom, where Hill's body was found.
The affidavit says Vergara thought his wife had been unfaithful to him.
