DALLAS — A $10,000 barbeque smoker that was stolen from the Dallas Police Association headquarters has been recovered, and two people linked to the crime are now under arrest.
The organization uses the smoker at fundraisers for injured and fallen officers. It's hard to miss — the cooker is about 20 feet long, so somebody is sure to see it.
Surveillance video showed the extended cab pickup truck that was used to steal it. The driver secured it to the trailer sometime Friday night or Saturday morning.
The Dallas Police Association offered a $1,000 reward to get its smoker back.
