DALLAS — A two-year-old boy was struck and killed by a truck driven by his own father Monday afternoon.
The tragic accident happened in the driveway of a home in the 800 block of Nomas Street in West Dallas.
The man told police his toddler ran behind the truck as he was backing up.
The child was rushed to nearby Children's Medical Center Dallas, where he was pronounced dead.
Police spokeswoman Senior Cpl. Sherri Jeffrey said child abuse investigators are looking into the case, but that it appears to have been an accident.
