DALLAS – Someone fired at least three bullets at the windows of a North Dallas high rise Thursday, the second such incident in less than a week.
Witnesses say around 1 p.m. bullets hit three glass windows on the third floor of a Park Central complex business in the 12700 block of Merit Drive, near LBJ Freeway and Coit Road.
Police believe the shots, which hit the north side of the building, may have been fired from someone driving on 635.
A witness who asked not to be identified said he was seated at his desk when glass fell over him. The bullets struck three different windows seemingly at random, he said.
Dallas police are investigating the shooting as deadly conduct.
Last Friday, when a bullet went through the glass windows of the CBS Radio building off U.S. 75 near Uptown, police filed it as a case of criminal mischief. Sources say investigators believe the gunshots Thursday came from an outside building that possibly sits off the freeway.
Nobody was injured. Police believe a small-caliber gun was used.
Police have not released further information, but told News 8 they believe Thursday's shooting was a random case. However the case is still under investigation.
