Water main break

DALLAS — A broken water main in Deep Ellum sent a powerful jet into the air Sunday morning.

Workers closed down the 2900 block of Elm Street for about 30 minutes to repair the 12-inch water line that developed a one-inch hole.

A broomstick was used to initially plug the hole before a more permanent fix could be applied.

Customers saw no interruption in water service during the incident.
