CARROLLTON — Carrollton police had their hands full on Saturday dealing with a bank robbery, a crash, a chase, and a suspect running loose in a Target store.

The robbery was reported at 12:46 p.m. at the Capital One branch in the 2600 block of Old Denton Road.

Shane Walker knew something was wrong because doing a drive-thru deposit normally doesn't take an hour.

"[The teller] wrote a note and held it up to the window: 'We're being robbed, call 911,'" Walker recalled "I said, 'Oh my God!'"

"When the teller held up the note, the note said he had a weapon," said Carrollton police spokeswoman Nicole Rodriguez.

Walker drove up to the front of the bank and called 911. He said he saw the robber walk out and drive off in a black Dodge pickup truck.

As police followed the suspect, they said his truck hit a number of vehicles in a Target shopping center parking lot at the corner of Josey Lane and Bush Turnpike, about a mile east of the bank.

"He was taking out cars as if it was a demolition derby," said Brad Wilcox.

The man then got out of the pickup and casually walked inside the Target.

"I believe he changed clothes inside the Target," Rodriguez said.

Armed officers arrested the man, who was taken into custody. He was later identified as 34-year-old Rudolph Casillas.

No one was hurt, and police said no weapon has been found.
