DALLAS -- Police say a 10-year-old boy was shot during a domestic disturbance at a home in the Forest Hill section of Dallas.
The Dallas Morning News reports that the boy sustained injuries that were not life-threatening around 1 a.m. Sunday in the 4700 block of Richard Street. Police say he was shot during a fight between his mother and her husband.
The boy was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg/hip area at Cook Children's Medical Center.
Police arrested the man involved in the disturbance, who they said fired the gunshot. They were not sure if he is the boy's father or stepfather. Other children were home at the time, but they were not injured.
The man, whose identity hasn't been released, has been charged with aggravated assault and family violence with bodily injury.
