GARLAND, Texas -- Four teenagers were hurt in a shooting Tuesday night.
Garland Police spokesman Lt. Pedro Barineau says the shooting occurred after two groups met near the intersection of Lavaca Drive and Bosque Drive, near Northlake Elementary School. Police said they responded to the scene at about 6:30 p.m. at Hall Park in the 1300 block of Rivercrest Lane.
A 13-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, and another victim, in his late teens, were taken to the hospital with injuries that were characterized as “not life-threatening.” Another male in his late teens was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Police say they weren’t initially sure what led to the shooting, but gang activity had not been ruled out as of 9 p.m. Tuesday.
