A luxury condominium tower is about to replace another piece of Plano history.

The Haggard Place high-rise is the latest development planned for eight acres of what used to be the old Haggard Farm near the Dallas North Tollway and Spring Creek Parkway..

Construction is scheduled to begin later this year on the 17-story condo and retail tower with a second tower on the drawing board.

Developer Vision5 says Haggard Tower will be the first high-rise condo north of Bush Turnpike, and it will be poised to accomodate an influx of employees as Toyota shifts its U.S. headquarters to Plano.

A top floor penthouse "can be configured from 8,000 to 16,000 square feet, depending on the owner's needs," according to a news release.
