A 44-year-old McKinney man was sentenced to 50 years in prison last week for repeatedly molesting a girl over a seven-year period, the Collin County District Attorney's Office announced Monday.

Eduardo Alfaro, 44, was convicted of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl in Plano and McKinney. The abuse lasted until she was 17, said John Schomburger, a spokesman for the district attorney.

Alfaro was found guilty of one count of continuous sexual abuse of a young child, which carried the 50 year sentence. He was also convicted of five counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two counts of indecency with a child and four counts of sexual assault of a child. Each count carries a 20 to 40 year sentence and will be served concurrently.

Prosecutors Crystal Levonius and Claire Miranda submitted evidence to the court that included a Polaroid camera that Alfaro used to take lewd images of the girl. Investigators also found sex toys, pornographic movies and "thousands of deviant pornographic images on his computer."

The girl reported the abuse when she was 17.
