MCKINNEY –– A Collin County jury will start deliberating the fate of a McKinney chiropractor Tuesday morning accused of sexually assaulting his underage patients.

David Allen Russell faces 12 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, sexual assault if a child, indecency with a child sexual contact and sexual assault of an adult.

More than one week after the trial started, testimony wrapped up and both sides then made their closing arguments. Last week, prosecutor Shannon Miller told the jury that two girls came forward with the accusations in Nov. 2011.

Assistant District Attorney Crystal Levonius told the jury a doctor's office is where people are most vulnerable. Levonius says Russell continued the behavior even after patients accused him of misconduct.

Russell's attorney Todd Shapiro said there's not enough evidence to prove Russell's guilt. Shapiro says after the allegations, Russell became "public enemy No. 1."

Jurors will return to the courtroom Tuesday morning to begin their deliberations.
