FRISCO — It has been a very busy two weeks at auto body shops around North Texas. Icy roads have sent a lot of vehicles to the lift.

"Right now they're working seven days a week to try to keep up with the demand," said Tom Burch at Caliber Collision in Frisco.

At one point on Tuesday afternoon, six vehicles pulled up to the parking lot in a 30-minute span; all victims of fickle Texas weather.

"This is what is left of my car," said Kenny Nye, who brought in his 2013 Subaru from an earlier ice storm.

"You can look at some damage and say, 'That hit a pole,' or 'That hit a curb,'" Burch said.

Some vehicles bear scars on the outside, but for others it is deep within.

One insurance adjuster tells News 8 that suspensions are the most common problem trouble spots.

"The movable parts on the suspension... what makes the car move," Burch said.

In Plano alone, there were a reported 60 vehicle accidents in a four-hour span on Monday night.
