FRISCO — There are new developments in Frisco, where Pallavi Dhawan remains free on bond after being charged in the death of her 10-year-old son Arnav.

The family's attorney said a Hindu ceremony was held Saturday morning for the boy. His father was able to give him his last rites along with a Hindu priest.

Near the family's home in the 1500 block of Mountain View Lane, we saw police officers going door-to-door asking neighbors about this case.

Police said Dhawan admitted to killing her son, nodding when police asked her if she did it.

Arnav was found dead in a bathtub on Thursday, covered in cloth and plastic bags.

But family attorney David Finn explained that nodding in Indian culture could mean "yes" or "no." The woman's husband did not hear police ask that question, and he was supposedly there when the question was asked.

Arnav's autopsy was inconclusive, and Finn said the boy suffered from health issues.

Child Protective Services is also investigating this case; that's standard operating procedure in Texas when children die.

CPS said the Dhawan family has no history with case workers, and the Dharwans have no other children.
