COLLIN COUNTY -- Roads in Collin County are under constant watch by NTTA. It started fully deploying salt and sand at roughly 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.

NTTA says it has enough supply for a multi-day weather event. A spokesperson says the 2011 ice storm during the Super Bowl has been set as the benchmark.

Crews are closely watching Highway 75 at the Sam Rayburn Tollway. It is also keeping a close eye on the Sam Rayburn Tollway at the Dallas North Tollway.

A spokesperson stresses that if you see an NTTA truck in the roadway, please keep a safe distance from it. Give yourself at least 50 feet clearance from any truck dispersing sand or salt. And that's not just for your protection as a driver, but also for crews working the field.
