An event called the NTXMA 4th of July 10-Mile Hump is gaining a lot of momentum.

For a retired Marine, it started as a bet and a means to lose weight. Now, the event has 150 people slated to attend the walk the morning of Independence Day.

The event is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Thursday at Morning Dove Park in Frisco. For more info, go to their website at NTXMA.org.
