Wrong-way crash
MESQUITE — Mesquite police are investigating a wrong-way crash on Interstate 30 early Monday morning that ended with one fatality.
Authorities said a black Ford pickup truck, traveling west in the eastbound lanes, crashed into another pickup near Big Town Boulevard at 1:50 a.m.
The driver in the wrong-way vehicle, identified by Mesquite police as 45-year-old Mariana Aguilarde-Rodriguez of Dallas, was taken to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where she later died.
The driver and passenger in the other truck were hospitalized with broken bones, but both are expected to survive their injuries, police said.
