DALLAS - Professional wrestlers aren't known for their tender hearts. So, it may come to a surprise to some that a group of wrestlers are ready to get hit all to raise money for a four-year-old with cancer.

The ring is an appropriate place for Cooper Dixon. After half a dozen surgeries, the four-year-old's still fighting a rare form of nerve-cancer.

"Overall, he keeps me strong," said Joshua Dixon, his father. "He's my pride and joy."

Dixon doesn't have insurance to cover his son's medical bills. When Will Riggs heard about that, the Dallas wrestling promoter and complete stranger jumped right in to lend a hand.

"Personally, it's a humbling experience to meet a child like Cooper who has struggled with so many things in his young life, things I haven't struggled with in my 35 years," he said.

Riggs, and others in the wresting community, agreed to donate their time to Cooper for a slightly unorthodox fundraiser Sunday.

"You're going be standing right here watching a whole bunch of big fellas beat each other up just in your honor," Dixon said with his son in the ring.

"He's more my hero than I could ever be his," Riggs said.
