DALLAS — A worker was hospitalized Sunday after being rescued from one of the approaches to the new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge over the Trinity River.

Rescuers said the man was working on a bridge deck when he got sick.

Firefighters had to bring in a ladder truck. They hooked up a basket to bring him down on a backboard.

The man was not identified, and his condition was unavailable.
