GRAPEVINE — Grapevine residents: Your lives are about to change.

Work officially begins Monday on the DFW Connector. The project in the Texas 114/121 corridor has been a decade in the planning and is designed to relieve the traffic bottleneck in the area.

It's expected to take four years to tear down and rebuild eight miles of highway between Lake Grapevine and D/FW International Airport.

A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday.
